Justice for Sheridan update / rally

NMC, 06.07.2004 12:26

New information about Sheridan's case, the next planning meeting and information about the rally on Saturday, July 10th!

The Mequon PD have released the name of the cop who applied the gas mask that killed Sheridan: Gregory Klobukowski. Will he receive the justice that any of us would if we killed someone in the same way? More information:  http://www.jsonline.com/news/ozwash/jun04/240533.asp

ALSO: one columnist speculated on racial profiling being a factor in Sheridan's case:  http://www.jsonline.com/news/metro/jul04/241238.asp

Attention: there will be a rally demanding Justice for Sheridan, resisting the abuse of authority and connecting Sheridan's case with the rampant police brutality in our society on SATURDAY, JULY 10TH, AT 1 PM AT THE MEQUON POLICE DEPT. Stay tuned for a call to action, but in the meantime, please publicize widely. We want to send a strong community message that we will not tolerate police abuse, and that those who the public puts in positions of authority have no right to kill and innocent person.

Finally, the last meeting before Saturday's rally will take place on Wednesday, July 7th, 5pm, at 9350 N. Port Washington Rd, in Bayside. About a half mile north of Brown Deer rd and a few blocks south of country line rd. We apologize that the meeting is at an individual residence, but since the meeting will have a arts-and-crafts aspect in preparation for the rally, Borders Cafe wasn't sufficient. Once again, please email Nichali with any questions...

I am shocked that you had this rally. Before you condemn this officer think about one thing. He was aquitted, and there for not found criminally negligent. I don't think he intended to hurt anyone, and if you think he's going to move on with life as if nothing ever happened you're wrong. He is a damn good cop, and deserves the same chance as anyone. Whatever happened to innocent before proven guilty?

I am saddened over Matt's death, but moreover saddened by the hateful behavior of others.

the mequon police are out of control, office valdez was out to get any kid who did not want to respect his 'authority' (i still see writing in bathrooms about valdez at Homestead High School where i attend). Gregory Klobukowski the cop who put the gas mask over matt's head deserved to be punished, just like you or i would if we killed somebody, whether we claimed it was an accident or not.

A friend, Erik Schuchard was arrested for allegedly growing marijuana. See this story  http://www.jsonline.com/news/ozwash/jan05/292920.asp

want a new xbox modified filled with games? help raise money to keep erik schuchard on the streets. call for details and prices.IM tarheelxbox or email  tarheelxbox@yahoo.com please send this to everyone on your buddy list to stick it to mequon police!
