New Milwaukee Group Formed Against The RNC in 2008
a herd of kittens, 05.09.2007 09:15
MKEtoRNC, a group of Milwaukee anarchists and anti-authoritarians has formed with the intention of inspiring and creating a space for the organization of direct action against the RNC in 2008. Individuals in the group recently attended the pReNC in Minneapolis, hosted by the Jack Pine Community Center and organized by the RNC Welcoming Committee. At the pReNC anarchists and anti-authoritarians hung out, informally networked, and formally networked, had meetings, workshops, and skillshares, shared information, food and a passion to carry on resistance against the spectacle of a false choice imposed on everyones lives in the form of the elections, for a world of our own determination. A false opposition (the DNC) may deserve even more actual opposition, but the RNC has excited a certain frustration and tension in people that we would like to take advantage of in order to push for a collective break from this miserable circus.
There will be a report back from the pReNC for those who are interested on september 23rd at 7pm at the Cream City Collectives (732 e Clarke St.). People will be sharing information they learned at the pReNC and offering space and time for discussion about the enormous adventure opposing the RNC could entail.
There will also be a Midwest Regional Consulta organized by MKEtoRNC on November 9th through the 11th hosted by the Cream City Collectives. People with interest in building and participating in anti-authoritarian resistance to the RNC are welcome to come from all over the midwest and beyond to conspire and enjoy each others company. More exact details will to be announced when they are determined.
It's fucking on!

anarchy is retarded

we all have our movements, especially in these times of political insecurity and distrust. some are worthwhile, some aren't. my bowel movements certainly are something to take the time to appreciate. ha! just playing. but really. anarchy is stupid. what are you going to do with anarchy that is so worth it? who's going to run the hospitals that you'll need when you accidentally break a leg while climbing that steep mountain side looking for food (cuz that's your dream or something, right?)?. and who's going to protect your loved ones from ANYONE who might just wish to bring harm on them? not the police that you so wisely fought against so you could find this "Utopia" or whatever. wake up. anarchy is chaos. we've already been through that stage. find something new that is going to work, instead of going back to old and outdated methods of culture. thank you

Oh how I love it when people proclaim expertize in matters they know absolutely nothing about. It affords a very flimsy logic. Why start with assumptions, rather than questions? This alternative seems much more civil.
Why would you expect the social order to represent anarchy, which opposes it, in any meaningful or honest way? Everything which holds the means to represent and spread the ideology of capital and state have an obvious incentive not to present alternatives which might inspire people to deviate from its death march.
Simply put, anarchy is a social relationship in which hierarchy and domination do not exist. What this means is more to be determined by individuals and communities who want to live this way.
This does not mean that people don't care about it each other. Only the opposite will allow anarchy to survive or be anything meaningful and present a qualitative break from quantitative logic of capital and state. It's capital which views all social interation through the lense of the value and commodity exchange. It's the state the encourages we do and do not preform certain actions simply because the state permits it and or does not with the threat of punishment. Life is much more beautiful and meaningful when it is motivated by passionate desire to live without limits imposed by the social order (domination in its totality).
We're not talking about buying hot topic patches, listening to crazy music that our parents don't like and being rebelious teenagers going through rebelious phases. We're fucking serious.

Your eloquence is pretty astounding scenick. You make it very clear that you have cultivated your decisive "anarchy is retarded" theory after years of excrutiating research. Either that or you just listened to a system of a down cd while reading the lyric sleeve and decided you somehow know something about radicalism, which is why you posted a direct link to your person which links to a photo of graffiti. Brilliant!
Anyways that is all besides the point, you presuppose that humanity apparently doesn't care about sustaining a healthy community without coercion or the lure of money. I guess the difference between us "retards" and you is that we don't need to be told to be a good person. Read a book.
